No Stopping Hahn In Tennessee ASCS Battle

BULLS GAP, Tenn. — A theme for Blake Hahn continued on Saturday night, as the Sage Fruit No. 52 hit the high banks of Volunteer Speedway for the first time, and like many times before at a new race track, claimed the night’s $4,000 payday with the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by the MAVTV Motorsports Network.

Hahn became the third driver to lead the ASCS National Tour standings this season, converting a six-point disadvantage going into the weekend into a 14-point advantage.

“We needed a run like this. Especially after I felt like I gave it away last week,” said Hahn. “I felt good right after hot laps. The track was different, but it was fun. I ripped the top of one and two at the start, and I figured it was going to be that way all the way around until it laid a little bit of rubber in three and four, so I had to move around a little bit, but the car was dialed in where I could pretty much run as hard as I wanted.”

Taking off with the lead from the start, Hahn went unchallenged for his second win of the season.

Hahn took the checkered flag 1.339 seconds ahead of Seth Bergman.

J.J. Hickle, Matt Covington and Scott Bogucki rounded out the top five.

The finish:

Feature (25 Laps): 1. 52-Blake Hahn [2]; 2. 23-Seth Bergman [3]; 3. 63-J.J. Hickle [1]; 4. 95-Matt Covington [4]; 5. 28-Scott Bogucki [7]; 6. 19-Colby Thornhill [5]; 7. 17B-Ryan Bickett [8]; 8. 1X-Brent Crews [10]; 9. 77X-Alex Hill [11]; 10. 88-Travis Reber [9]; 11. 47X-Dylan Westbrook [6].
