Big Sprint Car Event Highlights Bridgeport Schedule

BRIDGEPORT, N.J. – Bridgeport Motorsports Park has announced its schedule of events for next year, with big events and touring series stops headlining the busy slate.

The Doug Hoffman Memorial on March 25-27 featuring a 60-lap, $6,000-to-win modified main event kicks off 41 race programs for the 2022 season at the remodeled four-tenths-mile clay oval.

Bridgeport’s biggest program addition comes in the form of Extreme Sprint Car weekend Oct. 21-23, a mega event featuring 410 winged sprint cars, United Racing Club 360 sprints and USAC East Coast wingless 360 sprints.

All three divisions will race for 40 laps, with the 410 winged sprints racing for a minimum of $15,000-to-win.

Winged 410 sprint cars grace the itinerary four times next year, starting with the April 19 Invasion of the Posse, which pays $6,000 to win and $700 to start.

The World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series will come to Bridgeport on Wednesday, May 17, with the All Star Circuit of Champions as the main draw Aug. 25.

The big block modifieds will make 27 appearances, once again serving as the track’s headlining division.

Other touring series making stops at Bridgeport include the IMCA Modifieds (March 25-27), Super DIRTcar Series (May 3), USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Car Series (June 15) and Short Track Super Series (July 26).

URC sprints will be featured five times at Bridgeport and will serve as the headline division July 23.

Familiar Bridgeport events such as the Ron Faison Memorial 305 Spring Nationals (April 2) and the Fourth of July Spectacular weekend (July 2-3), which features the USAC East Coast sprints and big block modifieds, return to the agenda.

Danny Serrano Weekend returns Sept. 23-25, where the modifieds will race twin 20-lap features that Friday before racing for 100 laps in the finale on Saturday, Sept. 25.

The Street Stock Nationals takes place Oct. 7-8 and USAC East Coast wingless sprints will serve as the headline division twice on April 30 and July 2.

Bridgeport’s season will then wrap up with the 50-lap, $5,000-to-win modified main event accompanied by the URC sprints Nov. 4-6.
